Victoria Harbour - Avenue of Stars and A Symphony of Lights

Victoria Harbour and its accompanying city skyline is undoubtedly one of the most well-loved attractions of Hong Kong. And my favourite place to admire its charms is by the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront promenade.

The promenade is also where the Avenue of Stars, built as a tribute to contributors to Hong Kong's film industry, is found.

Hand prints of celebrities, past and present, line the footpath.

At 8.00pm every night, over 40 key buildings in the area come to life in A Symphony of Lights, a laser light show accompanied by musical effects and narration.

The narration is broadcast in different languages on different days.
  • Mon, Wed, Fri: English
  • Tue, Thu, Sat: Mandarin
  • Sun: Cantonese

Actually, I've never really found A Symphony of Lights so spectacular in itself. But there's nothing quite like standing by the promenade, relaxing in the cool of the wind, and taking in the awesome views of this modern city in all its glory.

And that's why I keep coming back.
